At 1:00 p.m. EDT (UTC-5:00) on Thursday, December 9, the winners of Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards were announced. Two works by Fenghemuchen Space Design earned recognition, with the Jinan Bocuiminghu Textile Culture and Arts Exhibition Hall listed as a winner and the Beijing Yango Hygge Art and Lifestyle Center as an honoree.*Cindy Allen, editor-in-chief of Interior Design (US edition), announces the beginning of the ceremony online and covers the event.

The 2020 iF Design Award Night will be held on May 4 this year in Friedrichstadt Palast, Berlin. This is the first time the exhibition and award ceremony has been relocated to Berlin in all its 67 years. The panel is composed of more than 60 well-known experts in design, industry and architecture from all over the world. Outstanding, award-winning works are then selected from a total of 7,298 designs from 56 countries.

The UK Restaurant & Bar Design Awards is a global competition specially set up for catering space design. Since its inception, it has attracted many top designers, catering operators and judges from around the globe.After the shortlist for the Restaurant & Bar Design Awards was announced, Beijing Solana Blooming Restaurant by Fenghemuchen Space Design was selected for the Asian restaurant category. The awards ceremony will be held in London on October 3 this year.

The 2019 World Architecture Festival & INSIDE World Festival of Interiors will be held in Amsterdam on December 4–6 this year. Two works by Fenghemuchen Space Design, The Fire of Holy Spirit and Beijing Solana Blooming Restaurant, were shortlisted for the 2019 INSIDE AWARD.

In Italy on June 29, 2018, the winners of A’ DESIGN AWARD were announced. Two works by Fenghemuchen Space Design, the Jurong Library Jinke Branch and the Beijing Cangsu Company Headquarters Club, won gold. The grand 2018 iF Design Award ceremony was held at the BMW Welt in Munich on March 9, with Fenghemuchen Space Design winning for its work, Baoding Xinhua Bookstore.

In 2017, the Inside Award ceremony was held in Berlin on November 15–17. Fenghemuchen Space Design’s work, Baoding Xinhua Bookstore, earned a “Highly Commended” ranking in the retail space category of the INSIDE World Festival of Interiors.The World Architecture Festival & Inside is organized by the British EMAP Group (which owns many well-known architectural brands such as Architecture Review and The Architects’ Journal). It is committed to celebrating and sharing the best works of architecture and interior design on a global scale, providing excellent architecture and interior designers with a global communication platform, and it is known as being among the two largest and most influential international architecture and interior design events in the world alongside the Venice Biennale.

The International Design Excellence Awards, established in 1979, is an industrial design competition hosted by Business Week and judged by the Industrial Designers Society of America. Despite a short history of 28 years, it has become a benchmark in the industry. It is also known as being one of the three “Oscars in design” together with the Red Dot Award and the iF Award.

On July 3, 2017, Ms. Zhang Muchen, co-founder of Fenghemuchen Space Design, attended the grand award ceremony held at the Aalto Theater in Essen, Germany, with her design team. About 1,200 top designers and corporate representatives from all over the world gathered at the internationally renowned design event. Fenghemuchen Space Design won “Best of the Best”, the highest honor at the 2017 Red Dot Award, with its latest work — Xinhua Book Store — for its plain and simple design. In July 2016, Fenghemuchen Space Design gained the same honor for the architectural and interior design of its Blue Lake House, meaning that this is its second consecutive win.
